Oak Park River Forest Girls' Lacrosse was founded in 2003 with both JV and Fr/So teams. The JV team finished the season undefeated and first in the state. Mary Moore was named OPRF's Attacker of the Year, Katya Strohl was named OPRF's Defender of the Year and Molly Fegan was named OPRF's MVP.
In 2004, OPRF GLAX had both varsity and JV teams. The first varsity team finished 9th in the state. Senior Jen Healy and Sophomore Bryce Buchowicz were named Honorable Mention All State. Jen Healy, Bryce Buchowicz, Sophomores Alana Breen and Meaghan Kelly were also named All Conference for the West Suburban Conference. Head Coach Katie Simok was named Rookie Coach of the Year. Bryce Buchowicz was named OPRF's Attacker of the Year, Colleen Sullivan was named OPRF's Defender of the Year, and Jen Healy was named OPRF's MVP.
In 2005, OPRF GLAX added a Fr/So team to the program. The varsity team ended with an 8th place finish but drastically improved their team play and individual skill level with all but 2 losses coming down to the final minutes. Senior Colleen Sullivan and Junior Meaghan Kelly were named Honorable Mention All State. Colleen led the state in interceptions with 34 while Meaghan led the state in number of saves with 196. Senior Rachel Glancy, Juniors Alana Breen and Amanda Burns were named All West Suburban Conference. Kit Hamilton and Bryce Buchowicz were named OPRF's Attackers of the Year, Amanda Burns was named OPRF's Defender of the Year, and Colleen Sullivan was named OPRF's MVP.
In 2006, varsity finished 7th (15-6-2) in the state, knocking off two more teams in the top ten (Glenbrook North and Vernon Hills). Seniors Meaghan Kelly and Bryce Buchowicz were named Honorable Mention All State. Meaghan led the state in save percentage (68.5%) and saves (213). Bryce had 56 goals (7th in the state). Seniors Alana Breen, Kit Hamilton and Leslie Robertson and Sophomore Morgan Flint were named All West Suburban Conference. Alana Breen was named OPRF's Attacker of the Year, Leslie Robertson and Meaghan Kelly were named OPRF's Defenders of the Year, and Bryce Buchowicz was named OPRF's MVP.
In 2008, varsity finished 5th (16-4) in the state, beating two more teams for the first time in program history (Barrington and Evanston). Juniors Hannah Decker (First Team), Nicole Cordero (Second Team), and Carrie Roche (Honorable Mention) were awarded All-State recognition.
